THETA IRONBRAWL!
Theta's signature philanthropy event! Ironbrawl lasts for six days in the middle of April. During this week, fraternities and other living groups on campus have the opportunity to compete in a variety of events in order to earn points. Events include a coin drive, can collection, house decorations, a bowling tournament, a weightlifting competition, a BBQ, the Mr. CASAnova pageant, and a concluding football tournament. Last year's winner was Theta Chi.

Our Philanthropy: CASA

Kappa Alpha Theta has chosen CASA as its philanthropy. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. What is CASA? CASA volunteers are a trained community of citizens who are appointed by a judge to speak up for abused and neglected children in court. CASA volunteers research the child's background details to help the court make a sound decision about the child's future. The CASA program consists of 930 local programs and 46 state organizations. In 2002, 70,130 CASA volunteers served an estimated 279,160 children. To learn more please take a look at
Other service activities we have participated in recently include: - Greek groups Philanthropies, for example Sigma Chi Derby, Alpha Chi Omega 5k Run, Phi Delta Theta Strike out ALS. - Santa's House (a Christmas charity project in Portland) - Hosting a Halloween party in conjunction with OSU big Buddy little Buddy Program providing a fun and safe atmosphere for Corvallis children - Operation Santa (care packages to soldiers) - Valentine's Day visit to assisted living home in Corvallis
